Flashworks Photobooth was back for the 3rd year running for the MacEwan University’s Mad Hatter’s Gala. As usual, it was a spectacular event.

Although the main event was held in Hall D at the Shaw Conference Centre, VIPs were invited to the sponsors lounge by a plush carpet of green grass flanked by a short picket fence with flowers. Once within the Riverview Room, an eclectic mix of music from 40s complemented the 40s Derby-style theme of the night.  A number of tables were arranged in the middle of the room featuring long white tablecloths with a solid coloured square of material beneath a vase with a gerber daisy as a centerpiece. These shorter tables were surrounded by four white folding chairs, while along the perimeter of the room, taller cocktail tables made for less formal socializing. It all created a light and pleasant atmosphere reminiscent of an outdoor event. As with previous years, representatives from Vinomania were providing a variety of wines from California, Australian, and New Zealand for guests to sample. And the appetizers such as fried green onions and slices of steak served by attendants around the room, definitely complimented the wine and the company.

This year, the Flashworks photobooth was a little different. To better mesh with the equestrian / Derby theme, our green-screen was employed to superimpose horse race imagery behind the guests. Ladies in fancy attire with elegant dresses and fascinators, and gentlemen in handsome suits and top hats were pictured on the track, near the stands, and right amidst the horse-race action. It was great to see so many guests in the photobooth taking pictures of their fascinating attire

Flashworks Photobooth would like to thank the organizers of this charming and much anticipated event for inviting us to participate once again.
