CE Franklin Christmas Party

Thanks to the organizers of the CE Franklin Christmas party for including us in their event held at Meridian Banquet Hall.

As guests walked into the building, they immediately noticed the guestbook table with ornamentation consisting of sparkly silver cone-shaped trees, a Santa Claus doll dressed up in a long red and white cloak, and carnations with fresh cut pine. With this fancily decorated table, you knew this was an important stop to get ready for the party and to get your raffle tickets.

The reception area opened up to the classy and festively decorated banquet hall with its sixteen crystal ceiling lights, and sixteen white-covered tables and seats with gold chair covers.  A Christmas tree studded with red and green bulbs and lights stood next to a table displaying all kinds of raffle prizes such as gift certificates, Blue ray DVDs, an iPad, a popcorn maker, hampers, Oilers tickets, an autographed Taylor Hall jersey, amongst others.

The dinner had something for everyone: sweet and sour meatballs, roast beef, butter chicken, roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, herb roast chicken, fresh salads, and more. The choice of dessert was just as diverse with large fruits trays and an assortment of cakes that included chocolate cake, cherry cheesecake, tortes, and squares, to name a few.  A table for hot drinks and coffee was accented with a uniquely carved refuse bowl depicting four tribal characters arranged back to back around its circumference.

A lounge area next to the bar had another eye catching feature.  Atop a fire place, a 4 foot tall bronze statue of a horse reared up on its hind legs looking as if it would jump out of the marble base at any moment. And the leather couches set around the fireplace made everyone feel relaxed and at home.

The formal portion of the evening concluded with a quick speech where Barry recognized everyone’s hard work in the past year. Following these kind words, the party kicked into high gear. The CE Franklin family really had a time fun dancing, socializing, and taking photos in the Flashworks photobooth.
