The 14th Annual Alberta Diabetes Foundation fundraising gala was a rousing success! The theme of “A Night to Remember Bollywood” definitely lived up to its name.

Upon arrival at the Westin Hotel and Conference Center the decor was nothing short of perfection. In true Bollywood style, there were luscious draperies of silk in fabulous hues of red, orange, gold, bronze, and turquoise. Each table was elegantly adorned with tall, slender vases with golden bouquets hanging over the enchanting red votives on each table.  In the center of the hall was an intimate canopy of fabrics all glistening with deep red gemstones. At each cocktail table sat beautiful Indian lanterns also surrounded by multi-coloured candles. The entrance was decorated with Bollywood props like throw pillows, cushions, posters, saris, lanterns, candles, carpets and sequins, sequins, sequins! There was even a little pavillion with cozy couches and throw pillows where guests could unwind during a busy night of auctioning.

Speaking of the auction, the Silent and Live auctions that night were a huge success! The entire hall was encircled with a great variety of auction items like gift certificates, jewelry, Oilers tickets, board games, spa sets, autographed merchandise, photography packages and much more. The live auction saw items like two plane tickets to Portugal, paintings, diamond jewelry and vacation getways. The whole night was hosted by none other than auctioneer guru Danny Hooper.

This fundraiser was definitely the must-be-seen-at event in Edmonton and Flashworks Photobooth was honored to share in the fundraising and merry making. We hope to see everyone again at the 15th Annual ADF Fundraiser!
