Flashworks teamed up with 91.7 The Bounce to witness a spectacular Underwear Affair at the University of Alberta’s Butterdome.

The Underwear Affair is an Alberta-wide, annual marathon held by volunteers and runners to raise money for research for below-the-waist cancers like prostate, ovarian, or colon. The 2013 edition of the Underwear Affair brought with it some wild and original events, like the booty hunt and a challenging scavenger quest that took participants throughout the city.

The booty hunt started what would be an all-day event, with the U of A Pavilion (otherwise known as the Butterdome) playing the central resting hub for all the runners all dressed in zany and awesome costumes. Flashworks Photobooth teamed up with 91.7 The Bounce to give the runners some photo fun during their break time. We were not the only ones pitching in to give the runners a good time, as other vendors such as Saxx Underwear, Vitamin Water, and many others gave out complementary gifts for the occasion. A large lounge area was set up for runners who raised a significant amount for the fundraiser.

Highlights of the Underwear Affair program included the group and individual costume contests and the high intensity warm up for the 10K race/5K walk. Near the end of the main event, it was announced that the 7th annual Underwear Affair had raised $625,000 to support breakthrough research.

It was a very successful event and Flashworks Photobooth was proud to be a part of it!!
