2013 Firemen’s Ball

Wetaskwin’s firefighters, friends, and family gathered together to celebrate 110 years of service.

Set within the city’s Drill Hall, the facility was beautifully decorated with fire trucks and vibrant lighting and colors. The registration table was laden with decorations followed up by a long red carpet inviting everyone inside.

Before long, the room was filled with a wonderful group of people coming together for a great cause. After a delicious meal, workers, volunteers, chiefs, and family members had a chance to say a few words. They all had something special to say about the amazing firefighters that Wetaskwin has to offer.

Afterwards, the fun really kicked-off and before long the dance floor was filled with exciting people that were not afraid of showing their fun and eccentric dance moves, all thanks to the live band. The band played a great mix of songs that took us back to the 80’s and 2000’s. Of course, everyone in attendance enjoyed the photobooth. Firefighters, friends, and family members had tons of fun as they entered and left the photobooth with immense smiles on their faces. The prop box was instrumental in the creative poses captured by the booth. For example, there were firefighting Elvis Presleys and Bunny Darth Vaders that appeared within the booth. There were definitely countless fun memories made in the booth this night!

We would like to thank Wetaskwin’s Fire Department for inviting us to this event and wish you another 110 years of prosperity and service!
