Flashworks Photobooth had the pleasure to be at Volume #8 of Edmonton’s PechaKucha Night (PKN8) presented by Edmonton Next Gen.

What are PechaKucha Nights, you ask?  They are:

PechaKucha Nights are informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share their ideas, works, thoughts, holiday snaps – just about anything really, in the PechaKucha 20×20 format…PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images forward automatically and you talk along to the images.

It draws its name from the Japanese term for the sound of conversation (“chit chat”) and is the perfect venue for having fun, learning a few things, and meeting people. Flashworks had a great time listening to the presenters and meeting the audience. From urban food production to architecture, each speaker and topic was interesting and thought provoking. And before the presentations, during the break, and afterwards, everyone had a chance to mingle, listen to some excellent beats, and have a few beverages. It was a lot of fun. We learned a lot and even got to meet some old friends.
