Melanie & Travis’s wedding intimate wedding reception was held at Strongwoods Room at River Cree Resort and Casino.

Upon approaching the banquet room, guests noticed a table decorated with a red ribbon over a white table cloth that was loaded with sixty chocolate covered strawberries meticulously arranged on three tiered glass plates. The idea to use wonton soup spoons to  serve this treat quite  creative. Next to this treat table stood a display depicting the seating arrangements for the evening.

When guests walked into the dining room, they were welcomed to provide some words of wisdom and to sign the guest book on a table with the newlyweds’ wedding picture and an arrangement of red flowers. Each dinner table was covered with a sheer fabric in light wine red atop a white table cloth with a red runner placed down the middle of the table. Around the floral centerpieces were three tea light candles in the red glass votives while above each place setting was a small brown box wrapped with a red ribbon for each guests. The menu featured a beautiful image of the bride and groom and was placed on the dark violet silk napkin that was folded like a card holder. A long table with similar decorations stood out at the front of the room and was reserved for the bride and groom and their parents.

After everyone was seated, the newlyweds gave a short speech where Melanie thanked everyone for celebrating their marriage with them. She recalled when Travis and her were on vacation in Mexico, they experienced an intense rainstorm and she really hoped that a similar storm wouldn’t happen with snow that evening. She expressed her happiness to have Travis as her husband and wished everyone a wonderful evening.

The dinner was served with a buffet that fit everyone’s taste and consisted of roast chicken breast with rosemary or shallot jus, ravioli with sage butter, prime rib, smoked pork loin, vegetables and all kinds of salads. The dessert table was right cross the buffet table and featured a fantastic spread of strawberry tarts, dark chocolate mousse cups, creme brulee, and cheese cake along with black forest martinis.

After dinner, guests enjoyed the rest of their evening with drinks, socializing with the newlyweds and having fun in the Flashworks Photobooth.
