Congratulations to Ali and Jon on the occasion of their wedding and a fun and happening reception at the Communiplex in Wainwright!

Purple and white was the theme of the evening in Ali and Jon’s beautifully decorated hall. Guests entered the hall through a white archway and columns laced with tulle and a purple paper globe suspended from the centre. Within, similar white and purple globes were distributed in clusters around the room. Each of the twenty-seven tables were garbed in a base of white covered with a layer of sparkly chiffon tied into 4 bunches with white rose clips along the circumference of the table. The centerpieces consisted of a purple Calla lily in a white vase placed upon a circular mirror with a matte of purple underneath. To either side of the lily was a white double-sided picture frame; one showed a table number and the other, a menu, while on the reverse of each was a photo of Ali and Jon. Place settings featured a white plate with a large diamond and elegantly designed drink ticket upon it, and just above was a little white paper basket filled with purple strips of paper, two white golf tees, and a golf ball emblazoned with Ali and Jon’s “A+J” monogram design.

Tasty appetizers of garlic tiger shrimp, portabella mushroom and cherry smoked salmon with crackers were served, and while guests socialized they could “Putt and Kiss” where a successful hole in one was rewarded by an endearing smooth. Guests awaited their turn to help themselves to the sumptuous buffet, however, some where able to make a donation to the “bride and groom’s fund” to move ahead in the cue for dinner. The dinner of Alberta beef and chicken cordon bleu complimented the roasted baby red potatoes, wild rice pilaf, and seasonal vegetables with a variety of salads. Desert was to die for and comprised of amaretto chocolate chunk cheesecake, lemon angel food cake, chocolate dipped strawberries and yogurt dipped fruit. There was a unique raspberry beer on tap, as well.

Right after desert, the MC welcomed the out of town guests, specifically much of Ali’s family from the United States. The proceeding speeches were full of laughs, amusing stories, and heart-warming sentiment. Afterwards, the Ali and Jon had their first dance which kicked off the rest of the party.

The DJs placed a range of songs from a variety of genres with a healthy serving of latino hits mixed in. And the photobooth was in continuous use throughout the night. Ali and Jon’s guests were an innovative and creative bunch; they came up with a number of unique poses where each photo in the resulting layout interacted with the other photos. Very cool.

Flashworks Photobooth would like to congratulate Ali and Jon on their wedding! May you live long, health and happy lives together!
