Congratulations to Suzanne and Roberto on a fun and fantastic winter wedding!

Winter white-out conditions abated ahead of Suzanne and Roberto’s wedding. And although the driving may have been treacherous, the view through the wide west-facing windows of the Grand Ballroom of the Chateau Louis, revealed a picturesque scene of a large gazebo strung with white lights amidst the falling snow. It was quite a sight to behold.

Inside, the Suzanne and Roberto’s ballroom was beautifully decorated with an elegant theme of golden creamy damask and white. The atmosphere was warm and inviting as candles flickered around the room and the bluish-green banks of curtains hung in horizontal folds along the west wall. As guests entered and deposited their cards in an open vintage suitcase upon the reception table, they were offered flutes of champagne. The table was dressed with a golden damask tablecloth and featured a large crystal bowl of white mints and wrapped chocolates, along with four white vases of varying heights containing white roses.

The ballroom was split down the center by the dance floor at the head of which was a solitary half round table reserved especially for the bride and groom. Draped in golden damask and embellished with an arrangement of white flowers and candles, it was set against a pair of large vases of containing bunches of tall branches. The rest of the eighteen guest tables had the same tablecloths and featured centerpieces of four different types of flowers and greenery with large candles.  There was also a card indicating that a donation had been made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada in lieu of a wedding favour in the memory of Donald Card. In the center of each place setting was placed a menu neatly tucked into a fold of the cloth napkin.

When Suzanne and Rob made their entrance, they immediately proceeded to have their first dance to “Forever in Blue Jeans” by Neil Diamond, followed by the cutting of their favourite dessert, their wedding pie. Dinner soon followed with tables competing against each other for priority in the buffet line by identifying the songs cued up by the DJ. The meal was absolutely splendid with many guests commenting on the tasty variety of dishes. Dessert consisted of a variety of pies, cakes, and cut fruit. After dinner, cocktail tables took the place of the buffet, each adorned with a classy black tablecloth and large flickering candle.

The speeches were entertaining and humourous, recounting a few of Suzanne and Rob’s past deeds. Suzanne and Rob’s speech was delightful and ended with a lead into a dance presentation from the United 1ne Dance Crew that wowed all in attendance with gravity defying hip hop and break dancing moves. After a round of applause, the dance commence and Suzanne and Rob’s guests were further treated to the musical proficiencies of DJ Kwake as he mixed and mashed contemporary pop with classic rock ballads, oldies with retro 80s hits.

Throughout the evening the Flashworks Photobooth was always in action as guests equipped themselves with props, picture frames, mustaches and speech bubbles. And as our printer produced the results of the photo-session craziness, Suzanne and Rob also received a copy in their guestbook album complete with messages and well-wishes.

Suzanne and Rob, Flashworks Photobooth would like to wish you all of the very best as take this next step in your lives together. Thank-you for making us a part of your special day and for treating us like part of the family!
