The Fort Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce sure knows how to throw a party and Flashworks Photobooth was honoured to be a part of the 27th Annual Fort Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala.
Greeted by two bright spot lights shining into the sky, guests walked down a wide red carpet toward the reception table. From there, they could get formal photos taken by Don Carter against a flowing white backdrop and more impromptu shots with our props in the photobooth. Everyone had a riot trying on the props and coming up with wacky poses. Even the mayor got in on the action!
Once inside the Lions Mane banquet room, guests were treated some sensational decor. A tall old-fashion styled black street lamp decorated with black and silver ribbon and pink accents flanked a banner indicating the bronze, silver, gold and platinum sponsors for this years event. Black drapery interspersed with strings of white mini-lights hung from the ceiling in long flowing waves and each black clothed tables featured a magenta gerber daisy set upon a square of shimmering magenta fabric. Each black chair cover was accented with a magenta bow of tulle a special area with black and magenta curtains was set-up for harpist Ethan Ross’s enchanting melodies.
The vocal talents of Gwynne McMaster and Natalie Smadis commenced the dinner with the Canadian National anthem. The exceptional dinner consisted of Alberta “AAA” Rib eye steak, roasted chicken, and salmon, with seafood linguini, garlic mushrooms and roasted herb potatoes, followed by a wide assortment of desserts including apple cinnamon flambe.
After dinner, comedian Brett Martin took the stage after which the awards presentation commenced where the Chamber of Commerce recognized the achievements of the business community. There were seven categories of awards selected by a panel of business peers from nominations submitted by the community.
