Peace Hills Insurance had a fantastic Christmas party at the Rimrock Hotel in Banff.

Part way up a mountain on the outskirts of the town of Banff, the Rimrock Hotel was the perfect venue for a Christmas party. The day before, Peace Hills Insurance bused their employees from Edmonton to their accommodations at the hotel. The night of the party, cocktails were served in the ornate foyer area outside the Wildrose Salon where the party would be held.

Inside, round tables were set-up with white table cloths featuring centrepieces of large sparkly globes with gold swirls. These globes were nestled amongst sprigs of green spruce and surrounded by foil-wrapped chocolates and candy canes. And from above, each table was illuminated with a spotlight. In each corner of the ballroom, a tall elegantly decorated Christmas tree glimmered with icicle ornaments and puffy tulle garlands.

After the cocktail hour, guests were let into the ballroom and soon after were invited to take their seats for dinner. The tasty meal consisted of soup, salad, and main course of either prime rib or chicken with vegetables and mashed potatoes, followed by a delectable raspberry chocolate dessert.

A few speeches followed dinner including one recognizing the upcoming retirement of Bob Dorn. Humours words about WAFTAC were said and Bob was gifted a hilarious and amusing gift or a reindeer which passes brown jelly beans. But the fun didn’t stop there as prizes draws were up next. Prizes consisted of a Kobo Reader, dinner for two to Jubilations, a Playstation 3, a roadside emergency kit, $100 gift card to Rick’s Grill, and a $200 gift certificate to Fairmont Hotels.

Once the formalities were over, the DJ started up the dance beats and the Flashworks Photobooth was reopened for more fun. When guests weren’t on the dance floor showing off their moves to a variety of songs across all genres, they were in front of our camera decked out in our Christmas props and other “fashionable” accessories.  Regardless, everyone had a great time.
