Over the Top Swap

Flashworks Photobooth was on hand on Saturday to greet all the bargain shoppers and swappers as they arrived at Telus Field for the 2nd Over the Top Swap. Thanks to all those courageous souls that dressed up with our props and posed for the camera. You have been immortalized for all to see!

The Over the Top Swap consisted of three elements: Swap, Market and Spa. The Swap concept was simple. Guests could trade in their fashionable, gently used, quality clothing for gold, silver and bronze tokens with which they could “purchase” new item. In the Market area, vendors were set-up throughout the concourse level where people could browse unique and original items from creative and inspiring local businesses and entrepreneurs. The Spa space was located on the main level along with the gold swap area, and this was the perfect spot to receive a make-over, take in a beauty treatment or experience a relaxing massage from a wide range of on-site health and beauty professionals.

The long list of this year’s vendors included Babyrumps, BangBang Bijoux, Dazzling Designs, Epicure Selections, FAREopp, Fezzig, Flashworks Photobooth, Flirt Cupcakes, Harlots Clothing Designs, Irene Austen Photography, Ivry’d Willow, Lola Apparel and Accessories, Lucid Lifestyles, Lunet Muse, Maggie David Designs, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Mount Sapo Handmade Soaps, Norwex Lady, Out n’ Aboot, Peekaboo Beans, Reeves College, Sam’s Eco Friendly Baskets, Scentsy, SEE Magazine, sgsfoto, Stella & Dot Independent Stylist, Sweet’n’Naughty, The Alternative Universe, The Bamboo Ballroom, The Water Garden, Usborne Books at Home, Yelp Edmonton, YouthJuice

At noon on Saturday, guests got a sneak peak at some of the items available on the racks as modeled, styled and presented in a creative and unique spring swap fashion show. And speaking of modeling, photographers from Irene Austen Photography, Lamb Studios, and SGS Foto were there to document the event and shoot some personal modeling sessions. And with video, the ladies from Elephant Shoe Productions put together a great vlog summarizing this year’s Swap.

Once again, the swap was a great success! Great work Cory and Ally! If you didn’t come to the Over the Top Swap this Saturday and Sunday at Telus Field, you definitely missed out!
