Flashworks Photobooth had a great time at the annual Edmonton Country Club Ladies Member Guest golf tournament and dinner. With the theme of “Diva for a Day” these fun bunch of ladies had a hoot golfing, dining and socializing.

We could tell it was going to be an excellent event as soon as we entered the Edmonton Country Club. Positioned on tables opposite each other just inside the main entrance were two unique and stunning flower arrangements from Hypnotic Bloom. A large third arrangement figured prominently on the staircase landing with an elaborate display of Katwalk Shoes at top of the stairs.

Within the banquet room the “Diva for a Day” theme of pink, black and zebra stripes was definite. Pink feather boas were tied into the folds of each chair cover surrounding round tables with black table cloths. In the center of each table within a pink feather boa, stood a wire figure draped with beads and holding up black paper hand bags depicting the table number. Each place setting saw a favour of a Lindt chocolate within a small pink box while each seat had placed upon it a $25 gift card from Night Owl Designer Lingerie, a Moms Dads and Kids “Little Black Book” directory, and a reusable cloth bag from Towne and Countree Kitchens. Closer toward the bar was a long spread of prizes to be won including gift cards from Moxie’s, Ruth’s Chris, Sorrentino’s, The Keg, Earls, Infinite Fusion, and Blu’s, along with items from BMO, Rusk styling products and Oral B, with a selection of wines, hand bags, caps, and gift baskets. A raffle was held for 2 Callaway laser rangefinders and a $200 gift certificate for Katwalk Shoes. Tickets were also drawn for a $1200 tax receipt to Edmonton’s Zebra Child Protection Centre, raised by the members and their guests earlier in the day at the 18th hole where the ladies could donate in exchange for having an ECC pro hit their tee shot.

Following a selection of colourful hors d’oeuvre and varieties of wines that were served to members and their guests, dinner commenced with a sauteed scallop salad. The main course was a choice of AAA Alberta beef tenderloin or pan seared halibut, concluded with dessert of cherries jubilee and an assortment of cakes and fruit.

The Flashworks Photobooth was very well received and everyone enjoyed themselves with the wild and wacky props. It was fantastic laughing along with the ladies at their annual event.

Thanks to all of the committee members and volunteers for all their hard work in putting on such a successful event!
