Flashworks Photobooth was honoured to be able to entertain Kristina’s and Curtis’s family and friends on their wedding day!

Following a beautiful service at the St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, guests congregated at the Ukrainian Youth Unity Complex for an evening of great food, excellent music and outstanding company.

The bridal party, accompanied by both sets of parents, greeted their guests who then proceeded to a guestbook table where groomsmen offered shots of vodka and brandy to toast the young couple. Inside the hall, Kristina’s and Curt’s colours of red and light blue were obvious. Light blue tablecloths were fitted upon each round table where a tall glass vase figured prominently in the center, topped by a spherical arrangement of deep red roses and carnations. Four tea-lights surrounded this centerpiece and little red boxes with a peacock graphic which were filled with candy hearts occupied each place setting as the wedding favour. A tablecloth of red served as the base for light blue drapery which flowed elegantly across the head table. There, a large central flower arrangement of red was flanked on either side by two smaller bouquets of white roses. The multi-tiered wedding cake was decorated with blue ribbon and red roses, while on a table to the right stood the traditional Ukrainian wedding bread or “korovai” along with icons and wreaths upon embroidered cloths.

The dinner was very tasty with a variety of western and traditional Ukrainian dishes, and the selection of superb home-made desserts and cakes as phenomenal. The program that followed was entertaining and light-hearted. It started off with “the shoe game” where Kristina and Curt were seated back to back, holding one of each others shoes and one of their own. They were then grilled with “him or her” questions that they had to respond to truthfully by holding up the appropriate shoe. Heartfelt and funny speeches were delivered by the maid of honour and best man, as well as by each set of parents and the bride and groom themselves. A slideshow of childhood photos and fond memories rounded out the formal part of the evening.

The live band played a range of fast pasted ethnic music while in between sets, a fun mix of popular tracks filled the hall. And throughout the evening, the Flashworks Photobooth was on hand in the foyer with a range of goofy props to keep the fun going.

Congratulations to Kristina and Curtis on their fantastic wedding day! May the two of you live long and happy lives together filled with blessings surrounded by those you love.
