Congratulations to Cory and Vivien!

We have never felt so apart of the family and welcome at someone’s wedding as we did at yours! Your family and friends were so fun and hospitable that it almost felt like we were family too! Our table even joked about how they ‘adopted us’ last night! Flashworks Photobooth had such a great time entertaining all your guests.

The guests were greeted into the Cha for Tea restaurant with a red and gold banner on the receiving table. Each friend and family member were asked to sign this banner which would later be given to the bridge and groom. Next they were asked to share some marriage advice on small pieces of paper, which was read throughout the night by the MC. Some of the advice included the traditional “don’t go to bed angry at each other” and “the man is always entitled to the last words.. “yes dear”, but it also included some personal touches like “Cory, you are a very lucky man to have married your best friend Vivien”.

The night then proceeded with the MC asking the guests, by a show of hands, how many years of marriage experience the crowd had: 5 years, 10 years, 15, 20 and so on; The winners had 35 years experience! Such a great example for the newlyweds. After that was the dinner with an exquisite menu. Dinner lasted for 3 hours with 12 courses: lobster, prawns, scallops, shrimp, shark fin soup, fish, jellyfish, chicken, and much more! By the time the mango pudding came out, everyone was almost too satisfied to eat any… almost. Each guest also received a delicious miniature apple cinnamon pie in a tiny mason jar as their wedding favour. There was even the “Just married” shoe game and musical chairs, complete with the different dance styles: stayin’ alive, chicken dance, walk like an Egyptian and, my favourite, Kung Fu Fighting!

It was great to see so many friends and family sharing in the laughter all night long (especially in the photo booth!). Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome at Cory and Vivien’s wedding. We hope to see you at the 5th, 10th, 15th, 25th and 35th wedding anniversary!
