Chelsey and Scott’s wedding reception was held at the Woodvale Community Facility in Millwoods amidst loving family and friends.

When guests entered the banquet hall, they encountered the romantic and elegant burgundy colour scheme. A table on the right of the entrance had three small glass vases with marbles sitting at the bottom, while a large dark purple Cala lily was submerged in water with the stem wrapping around the inside. These were also the centrepieces of the guest tables, along with tea light candles on either sides of the vase. The round guest tables were draped in a white table cloth and surrounded by chairs with burgundy covers knotted at the back. The bridal party table was set up before a backdrop of three wire pillars wrapped in a red sheer fabric lit from within with white mini-lights, while white fabric draped from one pillar to the next illuminated from below in a deep red. The head table itself featured a burgundy tablecloth draping down in bunches over top a white underlay and was decorated with the same flower and candle arrangements as the guest tables.

The program consisted of speeches from friends and family of the bride and groom, a memorable slideshow, as well as the ever popular shoe game which gave all the guest a good laugh from the couple’s responses. Before the first dances of the newlyweds and each of their parents, the couple cut the cake allowing  guests to indulge.

Later in the evening, after the bouquet and garter toss, the single lady and gentleman who had caught their respective tosses were set up to do something unusual to wish the couple a happy future together. If they chose not to participate, they put a 50 year curse of bad luck on the newlyweds. The two had to run slow motion from opposite sides of the room and meet in the middle with a passionate kiss, no matter their current relationship status. Although, the bouquet catcher’s boyfriend swooped in last second and took the kiss, it did not put a curse on the bride and groom.

All the guests had a great time on the dance floor, as the DJ played various types of music and took requests. He even ventured onto the dance floor to teach the guests moves to group dances such as the popular song, “Gangnam Style“.

The photobooth was greatly enjoyed by everyone of all ages, as the had a blast dressing up and taking pictures in memory for the special occasion. There was never a dull moment!

Flashworks Photobooth would like to congratulate Scott and Chelsey on their wonderful wedding, and we wish you a happily ever after together!
