Held within Chinatown at the Century Dynasty Palace, Jesse and Ann had a gorgeous wedding surrounded by a plenitude of joyous guests.
When the guests entered the restaurant, they entered through an arch decorated with sheer fabric and roses, and then entered into the mail room though a wall of bubbles floating down around the entrance. The room was decorated by the many paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling in different shades of pink and white. Thirty-four round guest tables were draped in a bright red table cloth with chairs in a white silk cover. Each table’s centrepiece consisted of a very tall glass vase with a bulb sitting underneath lighting up the pink lava inside and as it got narrower at the top it bloomed up with large white feathers. The bridal party table had rows of red roses on the edge, and on each end of this table were large vases holding grouped up branches that lit up. Behind the head table a backdrop of white curtains was bound up in the middle with a red sash, and between each panel were numerous chains of beads hanging down.
The two MC’s were very energetic and got the night to a great start by introducing the wedding party, family of the bride and groom, and all the out of town guests. Before the 10 course meal, guests took part in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. As everybody was enjoying their food, one of the MC’s spontaneously decided to entertain everyone by singing a song, which everyone seemed to enjoy. There was also a slide show of pictures displayed on the four television around the room. in another Chinese wedding tradition, the bride and groom and their families went around to each table to toast with each of the guests. As close family and friends gave heartwarming speeches, the mic was also passed around the room which allowed any of the guests to give their own speech to the couple.
The DJ provided lively music for everybody to get on the dance floor, as well as displaying music videos of most of the songs on the TV’s around the room. A number was also displayed which allowed guests to text in their requests. The photo booth was in use all night and the guests enjoyed dressing up and taking pictures to keep as a token of this special occasion.
